Production Timeline

March 2009: Get a working model of Arduino and sensors to communicate with Flash via Serial Proxy (completed)
April 2009: Write software program in Flash Actionscript 3.0 to control the scaling of movie clips for use in projections; Design with modularity in mind for flexibility
May 2009: Set up small model of boat or oar assembly with Arduino and sensors and test functionality of software with physical movement
May-August 2009: Create drawings that will load into Flash Movie Clips
May-August 2009: Construct actual structure of rowboat and attach printed drawings mounted on metal to it
August 2009: Set up first projections with actual rowboat structure in studio space
September 2009: Present installation in the greater Minneapolis area for review
Fall-Winter 2009: Present completed work in public exhibition space for extended time

Art Materials (wood, sheet metal, archival drawing paper and printing ink): $500
Electronic Materials (Arduino board, sensors (potentiometers, pushbuttons, wire): $100
Mac Minis (2): $1400
