Digital Drawings from the Project
These digital drawings show archetypal symbols used as engaging front doors to each of the "boathouses" that float on the waters of conscious thought. They entice the viewer to enter and learn more about each. Within each chamber is a loosely knit narrative drawing derived from the artist's dreams, memories and subconscious thought. Much of the imagery relates to Carl Jung's theories of the collective unconscious, in which we as humans have some universal primal visual symbols stored within our brains, providing some degree of commonality throughout the world.
